- Ki Manipulation: Kage took several years to himself to train past his limits, and in doing so he has achieved a handful of offensive and defensive tactics with his Ki. While Kage is in battle, symbols appear on his forear that indicate the amount of ki he may waste for each attack he uses. Kage never uses one type of ki in a battle; he likes to switch off with each ki as they can combine to do greater damage.
- Ice Manipulation: Kage's primary ki conversion is turning pure energy into ice and cold energy. This ranges from ice weaponry to hail and suffocating, chilly winds to even an ice dragon which unleashes a cryo-blast that freezes anything upon tactile contact. Defensively, he can freeze liquids to create highly-resilient ice shields to absorb damage.
- Darkness Manipulation:
- Transformation: Due to extreme conditioning, Kage is now able to transform at will into his “Fallen Form” to increase his power, but in doing so he expends ki and is forced to rely on his physical skills.

- Peak Human Condition: As a shinobi, Kage is in top physical condition due to his years of training in stealth, weapons and hand-to-hand combat. He is strong and fast, and his running posture decreases wind resistance, which is beneficial when moving at superhuman speeds where angular momentum is a smaller factor.
- Expert Martial Artist: Kage is an expert hand-to-hand combatant under Wavelength's tutelage. He is versed in Karate, Kickboxing, and several Ninjutsu disciplines, including Taijutsu, Kenjutsu, Shurikenjutsu, and Shinobi-iri, as he is adept in fighting, sword-fighting, and throwing his signature ice kunai and stealth combat.
- Expert Marksman: Kage is an expert of accurately launching his kunai knives, other than fighting with them.
- Stealth: Minato trained Kage to conceal his moves and hide effectively during a fight. As his name implies, he excels in blending in with the shadows for stealth and infiltration.
